This is the best response to this question I have read to date. In spite of the lack of research that has ever shown good positive outcomes for corporal punishment people continue to rationalize this horrific bullying of small children by adults and then scratch their heads that bullying is exhibited in our schools. One would think the connection would be obvious.
Discipline comes from the term disciple…it means to teach…what disciple ever became violent against another or a child?
